Default Antenna theft...planning to super glue.

Some a-hole decided to swipe my short antenna on the S today. Any of you guys had that happen? I'm thinking about super gluing a new one in. Did you guys do the same thing? Is this a bad idea? I can't see myself taking it off.

The only other option I'm thinking about is to take off the antenna every time I park it.

People can be so ghetto ....lame.

happens all the time. they fit evo, subie, 350z, etc a whole range of cars. i sadly even know fellow evo owners who have swiped them. a popular method is to use locktite on the threads, but a few have had their antenna housing jacked up because of this. I would rather let them just take the antenna

That sucks. So you guys just have it on there, not worring about it getting stolen? I'll try locktite....thanks. I can't see me replacing this regularly...even if there's a chance of having the housing getting damaged/stripped.

when I finish shaving mine I'd send it to ya if you still need one. Haven't used the radio really since I started driving; don't much expect to in the future either.

Just get JB Weld or Loctite. Makes it nearly impossible to take off my hand.

making it stay is easy, but you have to account for the 16 years old lowlifer will be pissed off and probably will draw you a post modernism masterpiece with his key all over your pretty car

that's why there's alot of convertible owner never lock their car, if the bastard wants the cheap radio, take it. it cost less than a top or sidewindow.

different way to look at thing i guess

i throw mine in the trunk in school, mall or shady places.

i think one of my classmate with a rice integra had my antenna

Run some electricity through it! Give them a zing when they grab hold.

I just recieved my new antenna today from HandA. The receipt notes the "Element" on it, even though I purchased one for an s2000. Same thing? Part# is 39151-S2H-E01.

Yeah...I'll either toss it into my trunk or my pocket. lol.

DO NOT locktite, glue, or JB Weld your antenna in the car. They're cheap. Just replace them. If the antenna housing get's messed up, you're out a LOT of money. If you can remember to take it of and throw it in the trunk, do so. If not, just buy another one for ~$20

i know its a hassle but to criminals, that's the 2nd best thing next to seats to steal on our cars. plus its so easy to do with out triggering an alarm
