Price of an 00 compared to an 01 S2000?
What do you guys think would be a good price for a 00 S2000 with say 25000 miles, or what about an 01 with 25000 miles? I'm asking this only to get your opinions, I've already checked eBay, KBB, and NADA, so, I would like to know what you think.
Well, I know that TX typically costs a little more than most places to buy a car, so keepeing that in mind.....
Another factor to think about is that most S2000 owners don't daily drive their car. There are some who do, but typically speaking, not.
25k miles on an 01 is just ridiculous, and based on this, I probably wouldnt even buy it. That's double the amount of miles that is considered within "average" range. I wouldn't pay more than $20k for it, knowing that selling it (someday) is gonna be a bitch b/c of the milage factor.
a '00 with 25000 miles is at least justifiable, but still high. Based on that, and assuming the car is flawless, I would say I would (probably) pay in the neighborhood of $24-26k.
Again, that's just me, and I haven't even researched the used/high miles combo.

Youve got to be kidding me. You think thats too high for a 01. Get real. The average yearly in California is 18000-20000. I have seen 01 with 34000 miles on them. It is my daily driver and I have had my 01 for a year and 4 months and I have 22000. I have also spent another $10000+ on mods. I wouldnt sell mine for nothing less than $35000. I got an offer for $40000 8 months ago for my S2000 at one of the shows. The average your thinking may be for your state but not everyones. The average here in Hawaii is 16000 and we live on an island for christ sakes. Sorry for venting but just getting the facts straight.
Dude, relax. I didn't mean to offend you, for real. I don't think its really that big of a deal. Its all relative, anyway. noob
Back to the point, do some research, man. http://www.nadaguides.com and http://www.kbb.com should give you some ballpark ideas.
NADA is typically underpriced, hence dealers love to quote from it for trade-ins.
Kelley Blue Book is typically overpriced.
Find a happy medium that seems fair to you.
