So a deal came up on craigslist that i wanna jump all over for a set of fairings + gas tank in the color i want. well, i don't want two sets of fairings at my house so i gotta sell the fairings on my bike currently.

my fairings are in good condition and OEM except for the tail which has a small hairline crack, but will be fixed before selling. currently the fairings are primered grey except for the gas tank which is still the oem dark blue with the decals on it. before selling i plan on primering them all flat black instead to clean them up a bit.

overall condition after reprimering them flat black i'd say they're 9/10.

i know a perfect set of fairings in OEM trim go for well over a $1000 so i was thinking maybe $500-600 obo would be fair?

just wanted to get some input before i do this.

 

TBH, primered fairings do not fetch very much at all. It doesn't matter what previous condition they were in. Any prospective buyer will think "crash damage."

If you're going to sell fairings, make 'em pretty, then you might be able to pull 5, 600.

You could get a decent set of unpainted a/m plastics for that price, y'know?

 

very true, but im looking to keep everything oem and factory. the fairings i found, i can get for $500.

 

my boy paid 1200 for new factory plastics including tank. so if u can get new ones for 500 thats a steal.. to get an idea.. hotbodies fiberglass unpainted is like 500

 

ok found a buyer for just my fairings minus the gas tank, front fender, and rear seat cowl for $300. i'm happy .
