Default Surgeing around 1200 rpm's

I have a d16z6 engine in my 91 crx. I recently replaced the idel air control valve which had gone out. Fought with getting the car to start after about 4 hours found the problem it was the fuse for the ecu. The person who had the car before me instead of replacing the control valve he put in a jumper wire and ran the car like that. Anyway when the engine is between 1200 and 1800 rpm's it has kinda of surgeing to it. Has anyone encountered the same type of problem. I also recently changed out the plugs, wire, rotator and cap the car seems to be running better except for the surging. If anyone has any ideas of what I should be looking for please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I had similiar problem, found out my buddy installed the thermostat upside down so air wouldn't escape from the bleed hole. I fixed the position of the thermo and now no more surging.

I will check into that thanks. Any other ideas. Also I had a friend tell me that I may need to clear the ECU becasue it is still showing a check engine light. I don't know it that may or may not have anything to do with it.

Once you know the code and you fix it, remove the negative cable and hold it for 10 secs then put back on the post and then wait on the start key position then after self test CRANK the engine. The light should be out after you fixed the code.

The only thing is I am unsure where the plug is or if there is a plug for the code reader. Becasue from what I understand the orginial engine and ecu was a obd0 and the new engine is a obd1. Not sure if the plug was installed for the code reader. Is there any to find out what the code is without a reader?

yes simply remove passenger floor mat below glove box and raise carpet up and back and see directly at ecu red blinking light. Count one long beep at 10 and one quick flash as one.
