Default Fab'd up some Int. Endtanks today

I continually get bored with the same ****, my friend has a sheet metal fab shop, so while looking at my car deciding what to hack up next I decided to hack up my Precision 750hp Intercooler, turned it into a backdoor with BOV on endtank and a 3" outlet that will probably be a V-Band when I am done. I did all the measuring, cutting and bending, friend did the Tig'n. I also used a thick 3" piece of pipe for the Endtank Inlet and put it on a Lathe and turned it most of the way down to mimick a bead roll for the clamp to have something to hold on to. The pass. side endtank is not welded yet, may re-do that one to have the outlet more towards the top, its a little too close to the corner light as it is now for my liking. Enjoy.

Yesterday:

Today:

Plan to run 3" Alum Piping through this hole will end up making a custom fender bracket for this.

And bumper on:

He also has a mandrel bender but I am not sure now that will come out looking with thin Aluminum for the piping, dont want to use stainless, curious to see the outcome. Next 2 weeks we will also be fabbing a large catch can (T1 Style) and welding in my Moly 8pt and then possibly an 4" Al. Intake.

lol I forget, now that I look at it the pics make it look thicker than it really is, it was just as thick as the top and bottom portions of the core, maybe a cu*t hair thicker.

yea seems that way, we just did those brackets a month ago I dont have a trailer so we basically just measure and guesstimate and then drive 20min to the shop and put it together.

those pictures right here do make the material look really thick. Is it just the end pieces that are thicker? Looks good though

[IMG]I just went out there and looked, the hotside entank in that spot never got file'd, I deburred everything but forgot that, it was drilled after the tank was assembled, there is a big lip there. Thanks for the comments guys, I think I might start taking welding classes soon, I thoroughly enjoy the fabricating part of all this, just wish I could weld it too.

thx mikey and everybody else, need some tanks let me know, they can be diamond plate, mirror alum or whatever. went to vertex earlier and dropped $100 on some mirror 3" alum for the piping, just need to locate a Tial 50mm BOV flange.

Does the car have solid engine mounts? Cuz if it doesn't, won't there be some issues with the hot side coupler when under load?

Solid rear mount and Avid Billett Torque Mounts, the motor barely moves at all.
