First and foremost, i did search this topic. Can someone post a walk trough or something of that sort on how to remove the DC5 steering wheel and install a new one. I don't imagine it being that hard, but i don't want to deploy the air bag or anything. Thanks.
i would disconnect the negative terminal on the battery if your that worried. look around the driver air bag (horn) for screws, once you have that moved, unplug the airbag carefully, and remove the large nut and washer that holds down the steering wheel. be ready to put some serious a*s behind that steering wheel to get it off the column. its really not that hard- 15 mins tops
#1 and most important step Disconnect the negative terminal.
i can't remember what size star screw it is but i think it's a T7? something around that on both sides. Make sure you unplug the the airbag plug and the rest should come easy.
Be very carefull if you are pulling the steering wheel out by hand if you pull to hard you will pull the, i believe it's called steering clock winding out. I'd suggest in a steering column puller if doesn't come out easy.
