Default dpfi to mpfi fuel pump problem

i have a Z6 in a 89 dx sedan.... since it was dpfi should i change the fuel pump since now this engine take more fuel..

As a matter of fact, I would get a new one from napa to satisfied your new fuel system mangement.

if i were going to buy a pump i would go ahead and buy a walbro 255 (on H-T for 85 shipped ) and be done with it even if you upgrade later the pump will be sufficent (unless you plan to make crazy h.p. #'s). i'm in the process of putting a z6 in my 90 sedan and i plan to use the 255 outta my hatch. just my opinion.
