Default Tein or KSport?

Theyre both the same price.....but what is going to give a better ride?

Tein

Ksport.

What do the gurus think? Im going to be getting 15 inch rims soon, so I need to lower the car, but dont want just softer springs on stock struts. I wont be getting them off ebay, just using that to show the products.

^I was leaning towards them, but the KSPORTS seem to have more adjustability. I just dont wanna spend decent money, bust my ***** on the install and have a shitty ride. I am pretty sure my stock struts are DONE...and once I get the 15s the coupe will look like a 4X4 without a new suspension setup.

when it comes to a bigger diameter tire too, you might not want to go too low for driving. too low and your it won't matter what brand you go with, the ride will be unbearable.

and for the record, you can go with ebay buyers on name brand products like those listed. just do your research and be careful. i bought my wheels and lugs on ebay, and they came as authentic as muteki and enkei can get

ok i had the same problem as you, and after doing tons of research, i just broke out the extra 200 dollars for the tien ss and man they are great, i have 14's on my car, ksport is made in china with no replacement warranty on any parts, where tien is made and assembled in Japan and has replacement parts and a 1 year warranty so its up to you, imo you will not being use all of those features ksport offer specially if you are just going with a DD, go with Tein FTW

I've been through a number of suspension set ups and i found tein to be the most reliable and the most comfortable.

I disagree. Teins basic system is a great balance of street and daily driving. Sure you won't wanna auto x on them every weekend, but if you feeling like gripping through some 20 mph twisties at about 40 you wont have any problems.

I agree to a certain extent. I think the Teins are comfrotable, and the KSports = the suxorz.

I have Omnipower and like them, but will be trading soon enough for Function and Form coilovers.

if you take too many twisties at 40 your gunna be replacing your coils often. my buddy went through 2 sets before he switched because the tubes kept popping.

If you want the mainstream, major brands go with Tien... If you want a decent setup, with alot of adjustabliity, for a cheaper price tag go with Ksports.

And whoever said theres no warranty is full of it, Ksports have warrantys. Maybe not the same as tein but to each is to thier own. Tein makes great stuff, but I havent heard many great things to make me spend the extra money to go out and get them.

Plus its Tein vs Ksport, thats like comparing omni to ground control...

Its one crowd vs another.. Of course people wont pick the underdog!

I have 2 friends that ran k sports and loved them with no problems. Then at the same time I have heard bad things about the ksports. I have heard they blow easy dont last long. I still have yet to see this in person though.

Over the past couple years i heard they made major improvements to their line compared to a few years ago. Most of the guys that blew them were also autocrossers, so when you think about it really... They were beating the **** out of them hahaha, so with the improvements that were made It shouldnt be much of an issue.

KSport full coilovers are what the OP was asking for though .. not just slip overs or springs .. it makes a huge difference

with the tein basics you can't go really low. the k-sports are more adjustable for height.

I have been using my ksport full coilovers for over a year. they do the job. the ride is harsh but not unbearable- enough to make passengers comment on the ride but still alright for long trips. If I was to do it all over again I would go with koni yellows and ground control sleeves. That setup is a little more money (around $980) but i hear it gives a sporty, firm ride and is still very comfortable. Agx's will be even more comfy than the koni yellows

I had the same problem trying to decide between which set up to get and I ended up not going with either of them, I went with PIC, check them out do some research on them, I love the set up I have but I paid a little over a grand for the coilover set up.
