The car will be fine. The challenge at your first autox isn't the car, it's the driver. Just try to have fun and learn, and try not to let your ego take over or get hurt. Try to memorize the course and ask to ride with anyone and everyone that will let you. It's the fastest way to learn and have fun. Don't be down if your times suck. It's your first time. Do those and I bet you'll be hooked!
drew's right. it's all about seat time.
when you get there, don't be embarassed to tell registration and ask if there is anyone you could walk the course with, etc.
and ask around for info on what tire pressure you want for your car and tire combo.
then go slower than you think and brake earlier than you think and you will get faster quicker.

another thing to remember is that youre not alone there. there will be novices at every event. The great thing about autox is that for the most part, everyone wants to help. Just find someone with a few events under their belt and ask for some pointers. People always wanna show off their driving skills, and what better way than to take a novice along. Just get out there an have fun!
should be a fun setup. i'd get some better tires.
with your car setup, you are going to have to run Street Modified class.
everyone (top runners at least) are going to be running Dot legal race tires. also you can run forced induction, etc. basically whatever you wanna do engine wise is allowed. there are limits on chassis and interior modifcation though. you can run a 450 hp EVO, but you can't remove your carpet!!! just an F.Y.I
but just get out there and run whatever you have. Take some autocross schools if you are able too. just check with your local SCCA region, they should have scheduled dates through the year.

As these guys have already said, don't be too worried about what you have done to your car, just make sure you're prepared ...
... practice is the most important thing; try to get the course right before you go ***** to the wall, be smooth on the throttle/brakes, and don't be afraid to ask people for help!
... and of course have fun
