need tranny help asap
I just blew my tranny in my integra Ls and i found a cheap gsr tranny to replace it. I didnt intend on doing this but my friend offered me a good deal. my only problem is i just bought a new clutch for the previous tranny and i dont wanna spend another 250 on a clutch. My question is can i use the LS clutch on the gsr tranny? Also, other than the shorter gear ratios, will the gsr tranny have any effects on the performance on the LS motor?
The clutch will fit, I have run Type R clutches on my LS and GSR trannies . . .
As for performance, you'll gain acceleration, but lose MPG. I put a GSR tranny on my LS with a B18B and loved it for city driving, but went crazy on the highway.

Do you have a DA or DC? Any DC clutches will work but the olders DA's wont there input shaft were a little bit smaller. Other than shorter gear ratios a gsr tranny will do nothing to the performance of the motor.
I just recently did the GS-R tranny swap into my LS. I filled up yesterday from a whole tank of gas and I got 28 mpg in town. I tried to baby it, so these might not be typical results, but you have the ability to accelerate much faster, judging from the seat-of-the-pants dyno.
