Default intake for teg?

I have an automatic 2000 GS with a stock engine, I'm thinking of getting an injen intercooler system it costs about $375 canadian (im not sure about the model)

what kind of gains will I get in terms of hp, torque?

As far the automatic ,I plan on doing a tranny swap this summer. And I was wondering its possible for me get a different model tranny (a type r or gsr tranny for my gs)?

ok first off, i'm thinking you mean an injen cold air intake, not an intercooler kit. second, why spend all that money, when almost all intakes are the same. pvc pipe and a k&n would do the same thing, and for way less money. second, yes, a gsr transmission will bolt up to your car.

Little, more sound then anything and bling factor. Unless you have more mods to compliment it.

Another victum of the MORE HORSEPOWER!!! CAI advertising. A tube with a filter on it is a tube with a filter on it is a tube with a filter on it... HP/TRQ gains will be minimal at peak, and not nessesarily throughout the engines RPM range. It's not worth it, unless you like bling, to spend that much for a damn tube with a filter on it.

A GS-R or Hype-R tranny will work with your engine and will give you much shorter gearing. Have fun on the freeway.

Buy a K&N cone and leave the top lid off your air box, sounds like the aftermarket setups and costs you less than $50. They make integra specific ones that work with your factory air box. Like i was saying though, leave the top lid off and you're golden. Put the lid on and you're quiet, take your pick.

Comptech Icebox.

I ran this on my GSR and loved it. Cold air without any worries of sucking in water in the rainy northwest. I had the airbox and intake on my GSR before I sold it.

I still have it if anyone is interested. I probably should gather all my GSR parts one day and post a FS thread.

You can swap a type r tranny, but I'd just get the GS or GSR tranny.

if you don't have a big budget, i would recommend the aem sri, its only about 120 bucks. the cai won't give you any more horsepower, neither will the 375 injen. an intake is an intake. save the extra 200 bucks or so, and get a decent header, and a nice cat back.
