Why not get a silencer?

WOW Sounds like an impressive exhaust system for racing. Um no resonator, no cat, what were you expecting. With your set up I'd leave your exhaust system as is and put on a silencer. BTW how good does your set up sound.

oh what kind of cat do you have. Is it just straight through piping or is it an aftermarket high flow cat?

I agree about the silencer as a first step. You may like it, you may not... either way, it's not permanent, and it's cheaper and easier to do than adding a resonator or a cat.

My car sound like a ******* race car. when u start it up it sounds like a damn motorcycle. lets put it this was i cant drive around with it like this much longer. so adding a cat will help quiet the mother ****** down.....or adding aresonator will have the same effect.

i will try a silencer but if that doesnt work then i dont knwio what im going to do?!?

I heard that a turbo will cut down on the exhaust sound a lot

A resonator in the exhaust piping would help A LOT. Also having a cat would help a noticable amount.

Not to change the subject but I have a few questions.

1. How did you chip an OBD II ECU? Have you done an OBD II - OBD I conversion?
2. How do you like the N2 header? Your the first person I've seen w/ one on a Prelude and I'd like to hear how you feel about it.

Thanks

Pick up a Dynomax 2.5" straight-thru glass pack and get it installed where the resonator normally goes - that should help some - adding the silencer should get you to a much more tolerable place.

What do you expect, you have 2.5" piping bolted to a muffler, which is probably a universal. Those kinds of exhausts are extremely annoying, they are just too loud. Your pipe diameter is too big if you are NA, and that's one reason it's loud. The other is no resonator (which is a BIG problem) and no cat...hmm...if you knew anything you would know that your car was gonna be loud and annoying. The reason why some Ludes have better sounding exhausts is because they used resonators and have cats...also, any brand name cat-back will sound better than a universal, I don't care what anyone says. They are tuned for performance and sound, not just some slapped on custom crap-back ****. If you are gonna get an exhaust, save your money and get a decent one.

my exhasut works fine. i felt impressive gains through out the power band and i know if u want to compare how much power i made from my so called POS exhasut vs ur over priced 2 hp gaining ripoff you would obviouly come out as the ***. i guess i could put my car on a dyno to see if my but dyno matches a real dyno....lol

N2 header is the same a DC and we all know DC make a qualitly product, it just doesnt make **** for power! and yes i did a OBDII to OBDI conversion

i got a resonator put in and yes it did quiet things down alot and i felt no decrease in power....damn i guess those V8 wont be shitting their pants anymore

my friend has the exact same set up - its ReALLY annoying and loud... he was asking what he could do about it also!!! I have the n1 w/piping - but i still have my cat... it sounds beautiful! Im guessing a silencer wont do you much good once its that loud - plus its quite restrictive on the air flow.. try a high flow cat if your lude is an every day driver...

A chambered muffler added before the glass pack should aid more on quieting down the noise. I had 3" custom piping to a 3" Blitz nur-spec muffler with no resonators but I had the cat on. The coins in my coin box would vibrate at 3500rpm. Now I have no cat, no resonators and same muffler and piping, but with a turbo. It sounds much nicer all though it is still loud I like it....

be nice or I will make it look like you are. And you don't want me to do that... cause I get creative.

Oh, and as far as noise, I think Corey has you all beat. Period, end of story. Loudest lude, probably ever.
