Intake Manifold Question
A simple question, needing a simple answer:
Does anyone know if by installing, lets say an intake manifold from Skunk 2, with the i/h/e setup on a b16a, there are any actual noticeable gains?
I've searched the forums already and all i can find are debates over which brand to buy, i just want to know if there are gains on a simple setup.

There will probably be a small gain, but I am unsure if it will be noticeable.
Your best bet would be to tune the car to take full advantage of the possible gains.

just make sure you get a TB that has a matched bore, or bore out your stock one

intake manifolds perform a lot better with internals. you'll probably fill a little gain, but it all could be in your mind
because you put a new part in and the first thing you do, once you figured out that you got everything working, is smash in your car when you probably haven't all day because you were putting that part in.

Of course intake manifolds work better with internal upgrades. The skunk2 design isnt THAT much different than the stock. its not a significant change compared to the GSR manifold. If you look on http://www.skunk2.com they have a dyno chart of the manifold on a b16. It has gains where power is needed.
