the only place on the net I found it was here http://www.neweraparts.com/Def...id=54

and they want a pretty penny for it, If power is what your after I would suggest a 3" velocity stack style intake. its been proven to make more power just check the forum. just my 2 cents

A tuned length intake will make more horsepower than the whale dick.

no doubt in my mind a CAI would make more power. much like a velocity stack or a missing headlight would make more power. however, i dont live in a southern paradise, it rains here, a lot, and my car gets driven every day.

short ram is the only way to go for me. with that being said, im a firm believer in that the mishimoto/j's/passwordjdm intake is the best short ram going.

its not about the money really, as i will buy one if i have to. im just looking to see if i can save $200 and get a fake one first

I live in a very rainy climate and have been driving with a Cai for the last 7 years through puddles and all and never even had so much as a hiccup. CAI's are safe to use in rainy environments, you just have to be smart about it. Don't slam your car to the ground and drive it through lakes and remove your inner fender liners and you'll be fine.

The ocean, thats where the whales are. I would guess that you would have to offer a lot for them to give up their **** though.

why not run a 3 inch short ram with a velocity stack and K&n filter on it? it will stay in the bay, make more power than the whale dick, and cost you half as much. of course you dont get the uber sought after jdm bling points but who gives a f*ck

what everyone is trying to tell you is that the "whale *****" intake sucks. Length and piping diameter are BIG contributors to an intake.

the only reason it has hype is because its "JDM". If you are into the "scene" then you should probably stick to the cosmetics forum where everyone buys parts to make other people tell them how cool their car is.

i had the slug intake i made 202 whp with it but i had this big dip from 6-7k in the power band.

i went to a prototype racing velocity stack and 3 inch pipe. im not sure if the aebs intake manifold or the combo of both the manifold and intake but it got rid of my dip at that rpm range. the car pulls hard all the way to redline now. i lay down 210 after the intake and manifold change.

everybody has different results with different products. until i see a heads up comparison of several different designs, i will continue to try whatever i want and get my own results. i dont want a j's intake because its "JDM" or trendy, i want one because there are a lot of people out there who say its the best short ram going.

i currently have an AEM short ram with a 3"/5" Blox velocity stack and filter, so i will try the new intake with the same filter setup. if i like it, sweet, if not, i can throw it away and only be out $60.

im so tired of JDM this and JDM that, especially when it comes to people jumping to conclusions. the only thing JDM on or in my car is the motor and ctr shift ****
