gsr burning oil --> killing my o2 Sensor every few weeks
i got a 2000 integra gsr. 143,000 miles. it burns 2-4quarts of oil between oil changes (just depends how much I'm driving the car). I replaced the o2 sensor (denso) and within 3 weeks it killed it. I haven't replaced it again because I don't want to keep wasting money. My spark plugs have also be covered with oil. I try to change them atleast once a month. I replaced the PCV valve. Compression test was 220 in each cylinder. Now I've heard and read that I could vent my PCV system into the atmosphere or use a catch can setup that might help me out. Or would it be my oil control rings. I'm still getting great gas mileage and the car still runs great but smokes out the tailpipe when i step on it.
Any ideas or thoughts?

if when your steping on it what color does it smoke? blue, white or black? black means ur running too rich, blue means oil, and white means coolant, i think your valve seals might be leaking or jacked up, i just helped my bro build his gsr head today and we changed the valve seals cuz engine used to smoke at WOT(black smoke) and that sounds like alot of oil your burning, im only burning a quarter of a quart every 800 miles, and mine smokes black smoke at WOT, but that cuz i have blox Im and isnt tuned yet EDIT, mine only has 108,00 miles
it smoking dark, so black.. doesnt look blue.. and its definitely not white..
I know my plugs are really dark black from oil and running rich because of the O2 sensor i assume.

any mods? if its black, it runs rich, id assume valve seals if not a tune maybe, but its also possible piston rings are going
Tanabe Hyper Medalion Exhaust, Injen Short Ram Intake.
The previous owner did have a B&M FPR (don't ask me why), but I did put a stock FPR on now.
Thats all the mods. Stock ECU. Stock settings.
The compression test was 220 across the board.

ya 220 sounds good, so im stuck im sure it has to be valve seals, they do go bad on gsr's with high mileage, so if anyone else has info please add to it
EDIT: wait you say you had oil in your spark plugs? well my buddys was the same, his valve cover gasket was bad so were the o ring gaskets for the valve cover and i changed it and no more oil in spark plugs, try fixing that too, id also change your wires as well after you fix the leak into the plugs

no there's no oil in the spark plug holes.. im talking about actual burnt up oil on the spark plugs inside the combustion chamber.
ya im lost too.. i keep reading about the PCV system and actually it seems like its bad thing.. a friend of mine had an ls/vtec doing the same thing, and he just unplugged the PCV system and vented it into the air and didn't have anymore problems..

how are you positive its a stock ecu with no chip? i would recommend swapping it with a friends car to see if you still have the same problem
or maybe you did something wrong when switching the FPR. (maybe wrong part)
the only other thing on the top of my head to check would be the injectors. gl and keep us posted

pcv has nothing to do with it. my first motor(rip) had the same symptoms. turns out by not adjusting my valves at all, i dropped the #3 exaust valve. go get them adjusted now, don't wait. my new built gs-r has a complete inline pro built head, and i will be damn sure to have them adjusted regularly. this sound nuts, but i think you are having the same issues i had, losing oil like crazy, and my comp numbers were 215 accross the board as well.

checked my ECU yesterday.. its a stock OBD2b GSR. There were no chips or anything like that in it. Plus I don't think you can chip an OBD2 ECU.

I'm actually starting to have a second theory.. I replaced the spark plugs yesterday and found that they were all white but #1 cylinder was white with deposits on it. They didn't look to have any oil on them. Just looks like its running too rich. And since the O2 sensor is bad its running rich. As for the oil burning, I think its just leaking out my rear main seal because my clutch feels like **** and there is oil build up on the bottom of the tranny where the cover is. I'm going to check into this theory today.
