Default Swap Super Guys Come Here

Just got a EG shell and a bunch of EF parts laying around. I'm going to be swaping a b-series motor into the EG shell. I've never done a b-series swap before, therefore I don't really know anything about b-series parts etc. So if you swap masters could chime in it'd be great.

Anyway I have two parts that I need to know if I can reuse it or not since the b-series motor use to be in a CRX.

The swap came with Hasport mounts for an EF w/ cable tranny. Couple still usable?

The shift linkage for a b-series in a EF, still usable for an EG body?

I think you might be out of luck trying to use the EF parts on the EG. But on the positive side you can use everything from the Integra and it will bolt right up, e.g.; Mounts, Linkage, Etc...

Pretty sure neither of those will work. You will hopefully have a hydro tranny now instead of cable.

first u need to get a new mounts for eg and it depends on if u have a b16 or b18c engine cause mount on driver side is slightly different. second of all , you will need a b series hydrolic tranny with 94 up and integra shift linkage and intermediate axle and cv axles
and also identify if it is a obd1 or obd0 engine swap and get the right ecu.

Thanks a lot guys I appreciate it. I knew about the cable tranny, so I'm going to sell that. And I guess the mounts and the linkage will have to go also.

The motor that's going to be going in is b16b CTR.

Actually, just pay attention to the driver side mount "bracket" Make sure you get the 2 bolt or 3 bolt mount to match whatever cast iron bracket is on your engine. Keep in mind the older B series 2 bolt bracket has a different offset on the studs where the mount attaches so you will want to make sure to have an Integra or Del Sol cast iron bracket.

you can use the cable tranny in a eg i have a Y1 in mine...get the ha-sport mounts and their cable to hydro conversion, get the hydro tranny axels and half-shaft and you will have to change the half shaft seal on the tranny very easy to do and your golden powertrain wise...you will have to convert the engine to obd1 get some obd1 injectors and dizzy and use the stock eg wire harness modified for the extra vtec wires along with a obd 1 ecu you can have the stock one reprogramed from http://www.phearable.net

I see thanks for the input, no I'm going to steer away from a cable tranny. So then I guess I'm going to have a big yard sale on EF b-series parts.

I know it works, but when change from a hydro setup to a cable setup? I think it's kind of a useless mod trying to fit a cable tranny in the a car already equiped with hydro.

Not much of an option with cable trannys anyway, I was going to do a cable to hydro conversion using the new innovative master cylinder if i decided to use an EF hatch instead. Overall, I'm not interested in that mod, GSR hydro tranny is what interests me the most right now.

Yeah, he has a cable tranny. A weak, inferior, cable tranny. I'd stick with a hydro even if the cable is a large spline unit.

you use all the hydo parts its just an adapter on the slave that bolts on to the cable actuator for the clutch fork so its still is hydro its just a cable tranny
