Default P28 mugen spec or P72

What is better? A P28 reprogrammed with Mugen specs or a stock P72? The reason I am asking is cause my buddy just bought a 94 gsr and he didn't realize at the time that his car was redlining at 7500RPM and doesn't hit vtec. The car drivers fine. We took a look at his ECU and its a P28. I guess this is what he gets for getting a salvage car.

tell him to pray that this is the worst problem he will have with a salvage car.

go with stock if the internals are stock.
