Default couple of questions concering valve cover instal

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hey i just installed my valve cover and i have questions and concerns i want to ask..

while putting the valve cover on some of the hondabond got on one of the cam gears inside (i think thats what its called). i tryed to wipe as much of it off as i can but im sure i dint get all of it. I just want to know if im okay or if thats a really bad thing.

another question. i put a little too much hondabond and some of that stuff kinda spilled out of the valve cover. nothing seems to be leaking tho. im just wondring if theres any easy way of getting it off?

andd... i sorta made a mess of the hondabond and got it on the valve cover itself. it looks ugly and i tryed wiping it down but no lucky any advice on what i should do to clean it? haha

anybody with any information? Thanks in advance..

You're only suppose to put a dab of hondabond on the four corners of the head. Did you put it all over? That's what the gasket is for. If any hondabond got on the chain or cam gears I would def try to scrape it out or something. You dont want that getting into your oil pan and clogging the oil pump.

Yeah I would drain the oil just to be safe.
