i have a 95 integra. think i may have spun a bearing. knocks real hard when i start and knocks every now and then while im driving. any suggestions????

if you spun a bearing you will hear a real loud knock and also when you get on it the car will feel like its got almost no power at all.... drain your oil and see if there is metal shavings in it, if so pull your oil pan off and there will be a ton of metal in the bottom.... trust me, ive spun a bearing 3 times now...

 

if you hear a loud knocking sound, yes its most likely a spun bearing, in my case, i herad loud knocking, i pulled my motor apart and found a bent rod,and spun bearing, id open her up and inspect

but it only knock when i start the car. and it'll know for about 2 seconds. but imma drain the oil and drop the pan and see what i see. and i was looking at it and the knocking noise i hear when im driving is my cv axle going bad.

 

my ls made that noise on start up, and around 3000 rpm's also, it turned out to be a wrist pin, eventually it bashed a hole in the side of my block big enough i used a pair of pliers and pulled a piece of rod out of the side, check that ish out.
