i think he means if our gsr's burn oil, and yes most gsr's do burn oil, mine burns a lil under a half a quart every 800miles, if i were you id check my oil level often, why? how low were you on oil when you did your oil change??
Mine burns next to none. I have this leak by the vtec though, need to fix it, right now i have to add nearly a quart at 3000 miles and change at 5000. It's leaking way more than burning.
a GSR should be the same as any other car....if no leaks, and no major burning i think in btwn oil changes maybe 1/2 quart to a quart is acceptable....
my integra needed about little less then half a quart of oil in btwn 3000 mile oil change. but i know my rear seal is leaking a little, and oil pan....

It depends on mileage and condition of the engine.
Our '94 GS-R didn't leak any oil at all for the first 100K miles. When it was in the 130-160K mileage range, it was using a quart every 1200 miles. Now it has 171K miles and burns a quart of oil every 600 miles or so. It's not leaking oil anywhere, all consumption. I'm sure it needs to be re-ringed or whatever, but it's a lot cheaper to just keep an eye on the oil level and add oil as needed, than to spend several grand on re-ringing the engine.
