Default b18c with b18b crank help????

ok heres my problem i have a good gsr block clean but it spun a bearing took it all apart an it looks really bad its crank is gone
in the mean time i lost the bridge cap that holds the main bearins in place
i was thinking of using my ls crank rods (balanced) on the gsr an was wondering if i could just use the ls main bearing caps on the gsr would it still work???

The GSR block w/ an LS crank is a fairly common occurence. You use all of the GSR caps and mains along with the LS crank AND LS rods. That'll about do it...

i'm no expert but i'd have to think that if you could put the LS crank into the B18C block then they would have the same size mains,,, and i believe you can run a gsr girdle and all that jazz on an LS, no problems i can see. anyone else?

if you use the ls main caps you need to get the journals align bored and honed then use oversized bearings, which isnt really recommended.

it needs to be line honed regardless, becuase any main cap wont match up like the originals

personally, i dont see that it would be too much of a problem, running fatter bearings
