I'm looking for help with a good ballpark price for my 2000 civic si EBP. It was stolen from my apartment complex and also recovered in my apartment complex, so it wasn't joy riden. The theives took rims and tires, guage cluster, and the distributor for the engine. Nothing else was touched. Insurance replaced it brand new tires and Si rims, used distributor, and an Si guage cluster that now reads 66xxx. Original mileage is approximately 83xxx
Mods on the car are as follows: H&R suspension springs, AEM cold air intake, Greddy Header, and Greddy Evo2 exhaust.
The body and paint is 9.5 out of 10. The interior is 10 out of 10. Engine bay 10/10.
I also replaced the timing belt and all pumps, and a new radiator.
Because it was stolen, would that effect the selling price much?
Thanks to everyone who responds...

im not 100% but im pretty sure that it goes against the car, but not necessarily against the price, as it probably has a "stolen" title, opposed to "salvaged" or "rebuilt"... i guess it would come down to the person buying it whether they want to pay or not, cuz im sure if/when somebody runs the VIN number for it, they might get nervous because it was stolen, so i'd be upfront with them on it and not forget to mention it, cuz otherwise you'll look shady. so to answer it.. no probably not affect the price too badly, but again, be upfront with them right away.
Add up all of the work and money you've put into it and take about 50% of it...add that to the amount KBB and Edmunds say and list it somewhere around that price.

if we had pics to look we could make a good judgement based off paint and all that. post some pics and you will be greatly surprised in the increased responces.

Interior is "10/10"?
I think most people would consider 10/10 to be perfect, and I highly doubt an 8 year old Civic has perfect interior. Needless to say the engine compartment isn't perfect either. Prove me wrong with high-res pictures.
Other than that, expect to settle for a below-value price because regardless of the actual situation when it was stolen, a buyer is going to have a hard time trusting a car that's ever been stolen.

Nah..it's possible. You just have to take care of your ****. He lives in arizona...so no snow/salt...very little rain.
I'd say my AP1's engine bay and interior are in 10/10 condition for sure. It's an 00. I used to have a 99 GSR as a daily..and the engine bay was probably 9.5/10. You just gotta keep an eye on stuff and keep it clean, yo. As soon as spring comes around and I clean up my EM1's engine bay, it should be atleast a 9.5/10.

Did you report it to your insurance?
And sun can damage interiors too. Particularity along the rear seat headrests, dash and any other panels near the windows.

He must have, he said that the insurance company replaced the stolen parts.

That's what I'm saying. It's virtually impossible for an 8-year-old interior to be perfect (perfect being equal to or better than brand new).

You know, the insurance company never advised me that they were changing the status of the title. I should look into that, but even if they didn't it would still be shady on my part if I didn't tell someone it was stolen if I was to sell it privately.
I'm going to try and get some pics up soon so you guys could have a good judgement of the car. I like the comments so far though.
Thanks again
