I've only heard that they're good, but I couldn't imagine them being better than an Exedy. Check out SPEC clutches, I HEARD they're good. The only true testimony I can give you is that I've had great reliability with Exedy clutches, that's all I've used. Good stuff though, you get what you pay for.

friend had one, but the stage 3 one..said it bent his axle he had it on an h22 hatch. not sure if that was true, but if i had to get an f1 clutch i would get the stage 3, because my bro had the stage 1 it was weak, started slipping within 6 months, with no racing at all. i would ssay the same with stage 2. i would take stage 3 is cuz it got 6 puck, and can handle a good amount of power. If not wanting to get the f1 take exedy, or centerforce, both are great last a good amount of time, even when racing.
I agree, go with a 6-puck or something, stage 3 or whatever, I wish mine was a 6-puck, even though it's a mildly done z6. After driving my buddy's ITR that had one, I was hooked. Talk about being able to shift fast, crap dude, the thing has intake and BC prospecII exhaust and beats s2000s.
JDM front end also, ftw. Anyways, back to clutches...

Hey I was gonna PM you but what the heck.
So I just replaced my factory clutch with an Exedy. The stock
clutch went for almost 125k miles. Just wondering how long
can I expect the Exedy to last with similar driving. Thanks.

it will work fine..you'll feel a difference in the clutch grabbing tho..you should give centerforce dual friction, they are made with Kevlar, and last for a long time..and it grabs good...but it good deal tho, especially with a lighter flywheel

well i'm going to boost 8psi for a summer or 2 then rebuild my engine and go for 15+psi so i figure this clutch would be good for what i need it for. i just dont know how quality it is so im trying to see if anyone knows anything about the F1 brand

That's because the brand you're looking at is probably crap and nobody uses it. There is a reason it costs 1/3 the price of Exedy.
If you like to drop your transmission often, pay for things twice, and replace broken clutch parts, then go with one of those.
If you don't, then buy an Exedy/Daikin, because:

I too have heard good things about F1. For me, I would spend the extra moola on a reputable brand.
go the extra mile and get and exedy or act. i bought an xtd, same as f1, lasted 350 miles, pp warped and i burned up 1st and 2nd gear synchros. so 1 clutch and trans later im buying an exedy clutch
Oooo, that right there should say enough. It's so easy to buy on the cheap side and have money left over for more cheap parts. But there are no regrets when you buy good parts that last so much longer, plus you have a little more pride simply in having them. Get MADE IN JAPAN, not MADE IN CHINA. (even though I have a Megan header which is made in China probably, but that's different dammit!)
i have a competition clutch on my car. its a stage 3 and im runnin an EK with a gsr block, LS internals, b16 head, with i/h/e and it seems to grab real good. i would give a full report but i just got the car and the clutch came with it and the car has been out of comission for awhile because im fixing all the body work for now. i remembered when i first got the car and i redlined it to 2nd gear it didnt even chirp :/ but then again the engine was really weak (which i have fixed now) with low compression. once im done with the car and i am able to drive it i will let you know how the clutch feels cause i also i need to find out.
