Default Eg jdm headlight

Tried installing my eg6 sir headlight and it would not fit for some reason. I thought this was a direct bolt-on part.
Here's a pic

usdm left side and jdm right side

Notice the jdm headlights are a little thicker then the usdm one.

Was the car ever in a front end accident? Perhaps you unknowingly had frame damage.

What you mean thicker? They are identical pieces just redone in with plastic lenses instead, and main focus beam on them is on the right rather then usdm which is on the left. Like everyone else said where didn't it bolt up? Take a pic of were its not fitting.

Im thinking it was from frame damage

But then again, when i go to put the stock one back on, it fits like a glove. Nobody notice this part is bigger

Sticks out further then the stock one. Here are more really bad pics, maybe someone can see what the problem is but i doubt it.

White highlighted piece is the metal piece that keeps the headlight into place.
That part is is giving me clearance issue

White and blue
Like i stated earlier, jdm headlight seema little thicker so it was kinda tough to slide it in.
Maybe i was just rushing, going to try again tomorrow with better pics and show you what i mean.

I think its thicker because they are meant to produce a different light pattern due to RHD. Either way, you can confirm whether or not the dimensions are different on the headlights by just grabbing a tape measure. If nothing else works take it to a body shop? They will figure it out for you, but it will cost you labor and whatever other bs they come up with.

when u tried putting the jdm headlight in did u take off that metal piece before putting the light in?? if not then do that and put it back on later.. i did that and mine fits fine.. if it still doesnt fit maybe u got 4 door eg lights... i think those are different

Yeah it was the metal pieve that was getting in the way.I did't take it off though. Im going to try that lateer tonight.

No, all eg headlights are the same. It's just the 4 door corners that are different.

So what's the point of changing to JDM eg headlights? You now have plastic lenses that will possibly crack and your beam pattern is aimed at oncoming traffic

why would it be shooting towards oncoming. And if it was, can't it be adjust?
