this has been discussed a lot, some people say blox, some say sk2, i have a blox on my gsr and works great no issues and got it for 150 shipped, they are both good, i dont no why others pay more for sk2 when the sk2 doesnt give you more power, they are the same just diff company, plus blox looks cleaner

</TD></TR></TABLE> agreed. the performance is the same. and they are cheaper, for me, it wouldn't be a hard decision.

agreed, i had both, skunk2 IM on my 97 gsr then I bougth the Blox IM for my 98 gsr, they looked identicle except for the skunk2 pro series has bling factor on the plenum
Personally, im gonna step outside the box and go with skunk 2 , now if you have a tight budget for your car.. always go with the cheaper deal.. But i've always learned 1 thing with cars computers and women... you get what you pay for.. and one other thing.. did you make a typo? when you said 180 hp? Because what your running right now.. you should be pushing at least 220+hp with that head and the internals done... so I was just wondering.. if that was your guess or your dyno?

not bashing or hating but i knew someone was gonna say sk2 is better and you get what you pay for, ive had the blox on alomost every ride ive had, never a issue, and its cheaper, but it doesnt always mean if something is more expensive, its better, in this case they both produce same hp output, and i dont know why youd pay more for same crap, ps sk2 does have holes for nos or whatever, but thats it, its just like saying get omin valve springs for integra type r cams when oem type r valve springs are better=oem, just an ex. doesnt mean just cuz its more expensive that its better, you sk2 lovers get that threw your head
or ill hammer it lol

Heh, I was gonna say 220hp with stock cams huh? Someone is mistaken there. One of the main benefits to the Skunk 2 manifold is the fact that it is carb exempt. In California it's worth making sure anything visible under the hood has a carb exempt sticker somewhere near it or on it so you don't end up having to tear a brand new build apart because some cop decided to write you up for everything not exempt.

ya in cali a sk2 wud be better cuz of the carbs, but down here i can run open header or any manifold, cops dont care, both manis are good, but blox gets my vote
Actually I had the skunk2 pro series IM on my gsr and when I went to the ref. I didn't pass cause the CARB OE didn't match up to an IM it matched up to skunk2 cams but I doubt a typical cop would run the CARB OE numbers or would notice an ITR style Blox IM either, unless he/she is really a badass mo fo who actually knows about imports.
Where's the cheapest place you guys know of for the blox manifolds? I've been having the same debate, Performer x looks like the best but i don't really want to shell out the cash for it. This Blox looks like a nice ITR copy. Any issues with sensors hooking up or anything?

man i got the blox IM from ebay $150 shipped, no issues with it at all, everything fit, everything worked, plugged in etc. now this link is for b20 i think, if you have gsr head you need to get the gsr manifold

You guys can decide if the differences are worth the extra money... I'm not getting into that with you all, but I do want to provide you with some lit that will at least show you that Skunk2 Pro Series and Blox are not the same. Maybe similar but not the same.

ok thankz guys and sorry for posting the same thing i thougth it would of been something differ with each setup. ima get the blox, just wondering does it come with the sensors or no
thanks for the post ek monster.. guess Foti isnt that much of a noob.. oh wait I guess because he chooses "quality over ebay" parts... that makes him a noob.. touche though..
No no .. thanks guys.. im obviously a ricey noob with no idea about what im talking about... because I didnt build my motor from the bottom up or anything! but hey! evidently.. Blox is the clear tuner way to go.. so cheers
have fun with your dull recycled IM ! and btw I was just trying to look out for the kid... not flame or put down anyone else...

why you hating on blox IM?? they arent dull cheap crap, have you had any experience with them?? i dont think so, i hate when ppl talk about things they have no clue about, what a noob, they are both great and so is the sk2, but i choose blox, its cheaper, and has a cleaner look, not like sk2 with that big badge on top, but functionally it works great, ive never had any issues with blox, get what you want, just dont talk bad about things you have no clue about, noobs

Skunk2 did not make the add to fool anyone... it's quite the opposite. We did it to educate and empower the consumer. A large chunk of consumers are brainwashed into thinking the product is the same... I have supplied you hard proof that they are not and you all are still so quick to dismiss it. Re-read it, if you thinking there is no additional value in the S2 manifold then we made the mistake in think those features would win you over.
Think about this when you get ready to buy as well, Who did the hard work? What innovative products have come from that other label?
If this industry was full of companies that copied we would never make progress... It's companies that have a commitment to R&D that allow us (the consumer) to keep making our cars faster or perform better. Sales for these manufactures just insures that they have the capitol they need to keep launching new products.
There is a product and price for everyone, buy what you can afford but dont get it twisted.

s2 did the hard work
for that, there's quality in s2's products but the copycat makes the same amount of power. the original poster wanted to know what is better for his car in regards to power, id still say its the same.
