Too hot, and clean it with acetone and a stainless wire brush. For tubing like that I usually use .035 filler.

i agree, i use .030 filler, the bigger filler doesnt like to work at the amperage suitable for that metal. What torch do you have, do you have a gas lense and whats your amperage?

show us a pic of the inside of one of those welds, we can help you more when we see that too.

If its all sugary and burnt through your too hot, if its not coming through your just going too slow saturating the material with heat, although it does look too hot indeed. Turn down your amperage a tad, use smaller filler and stop evert 5-7 dabs or so once you ahve a gas lense and run the gas over the hot weld and you will achieve the penetration, color and welds you want with practice.

when i weld stainless tubing i usually set the machine at 50 amps and go from there i'm prolly around high 30's low 40's when welding. get used to the foot control so you don't get used to just mashing the pedel.

i use .045 308L and dab while doing a lilbackwards C shap movement.

i maybe move 1/2"-3/4" then stop and let the post flow finish out.

also try puting a small bevel on the tubing it will help you stay in a straght line and also it helps the filler settle into a small groove so it dosent wonder as much.

i can post up some pic's of prep and w/e later

you have a serious lack of gas coverage going on there buddy. Crank that **** up to 25(at least) turn you amps down to a max of 40, bevel the tube a titty bit and use .035 filler.

How far is your tungsten sticking out and what is your torch angle like?
