Default HKS HiperMax II

Does anyone know if you can service (take apart) the HKS HiperMax II coilovers for EK?

My front right one has developed a tapping noise after 3 years of happy ownership. I took the coilover off and stripped down as far as possible (basically left with the damper body and shaft) Cleaned and lubed, then reassembled. Fitted back to car and still the noise continues.

I then wondered if it could be another suspension component...So I swapped the front left and rights with eachother. Suprise suprise, the noise moved aswell. So my conclusion is the damper has a problem somewhere...

On inspection from initial stripdown the damper and rod looked fine though, with no signs of leaks or oil?

Any ideas on taking apart or someone who can fix them? I 'm deffo no gonna fork out another 1500 on new coilovers

in that case i wouldn't know what else to do bro, your best bet would be to purchase a new suspension.

try rocking the shaft side to side, see if you can detect any play, that may be the source of the noise
