92 vs 94 AC evaporator, any difference? Need help on wrong part.
I ordered an AC evaporator for a 92 civic and it doesn't match the bolts to my 1994 civic AC lines.
The stock one from my 94 has a 10MM bottom bolt and a 10MM top bolt. The one I recieved has a 10MM bottom and a larger bolt for the top.
Does anyone know if there actually IS a difference in these evaporators, or was I just shipped the wrong part?
The description says 92-95 Civic AC Evaporator.

Well, damn, I figured it out. They are different. Between the 92 and the 94 ex anyway. I started looking at parts diagrams and the top bolt on the 92 is an 8x and the bottom is a 6x. On the 94EX, they are both 6x

Damn me, I am out 40 bucks
Oh well.
Lesson learned is that descriptions are not always correct.

u mean two bolts that secure the ac pipes at the firewall right? just get the bolts, they are like 20 cents a piece
and also i am running different ac parts from different 92-95 civics..they all bolt up nice and no leak. i personally installed every little ac parts into my eg hatch. and even tried to make it work with my b16a swap.

Unfortunately, the holes in the evaporator I recieved are a smaller diameter and it's impossible to plug the lines in. Also in order to get the 8x bolt through the top line, I would have to drill it out (even if it could plug in).
I'll just order another and make sure it's the right one this time.
Thanks for the help.

no u cant drill them cause they have thread. also u can either get the ac pipe that bolt on to the evaporator or get another evaporator and where did u get the evaporator from? if from junk yard. they normally would let u do an exchange.

The refigerant would probably not make a difference, it's basically a tube with fins on it.
I could change the lines to match, but I will just try to return this one and pick up another.
