I dyno'd her last Saturday... at 12.3-.5 psi she produced 278.6 whp... unfortunately for me the dyno has a 10% power loss so you have to add 10% to whatever the dyno sheet reads...

Anyway the reason im posting this is when we boosted up to 13.8 psi there was no hp gain or loss it would keep reading 278.6 although you could clearly hear the engine producing more... all levels were reading great and the engine was taking the boost with no problem. My tech assures me the engine was producing the power yet the dyno wasnt reading it because my clutch was slipping and therefore the power wouldnt register unless i upgrade my clutch...

im not going to slap on a vtec head so plz don't post anything like that... i just want to know if anyone has encountered anything similar to this and their feedback...

-thanks

p.s if your in the nyc area feel free to recommend any DYNO spots... i went to rct performance for mine.

There is no way a stage 4 clutch would be slipping at 278whp. Its not like your making crazy torque numbers. Something sounds really weird about this tuner and his dyno. I say take it somewhere else and get another opinion on another dyno.

ive seen this before, the car wouldnt make anymore power even though everything was spot on, and it was around the smae power level.

How old is the clutch? And have u had it slip in the past?

If its new and good, then ur problem lies elsewhere, and dont rely on sound to judge if the car is reacting well.Read ur plugs and study ur logs for a true understanding.

what size injector? what kind of map sensor? what size turbo? what's it tuned on? we need the important details. all those mods dont mean anything if it doesn't have supporting mods.

what was the point in doing all that work to a non vtec head? i bet it still doesnt flow as well as a stock vtec head. do you have a graph of the dyno that the "clutch was slipping"? what size turbo is it?
