81x89 LSVTEC Coupe - Some more all motor fun
I figured since my father's video I posted a couple days ago was so well-received, I'd shoot some footage of my own for my Honda-Tech brethren.
The setup is an 11.7:1 LSVTEC with Skunk2 Pro2+'s, RMF narrow header, and Performer X intake manifold.

It was a beautiful day/night in Central PA today, so I made use of the stickier, warm roads.
Enjoy!

P.S. Don't mind the speedometer. I'm still waiting on my converter.

I am actually building an LSVTEC now and have modeled the build to yours. That thing is a beast.
Sweet S2K cluster too.. I like how it went to 2mph for 1 second and then back to 0.
Sick car, and you're dad's rex is **** too

Thanks, man. I assume you've read over the build thread from a long time ago? There's another one coming soon, too, for my 85x89 motor.

Man, your clutch is slipping! haha..j/k
Nice vid! It breaking loose and bouncing off the limiter makes the vid that much better. What size tires are you running? ITR 4.4 trans?

Nice video man. Right now I have one of the speed converters on order for my boss's S2k cluster in his ITR. Everything is works but the speed and temp. They have been on order for-e-v-e-r though. Seems like we are never going to get them. Had them on order like 4 months now and keep getting, "They are in production now and will be here soon." Your car is pretty bad *** though. What kind of #s you puttin down?

I roll around on 215/45/16 Hankook Ventus RS2 Z212's, and it's actually a 4.785 '98+ ITR transmission.

Well, I left off at 7,800 RPM in fourth on the long pull. According to Neptune's datalog, I went 109mph, and according to the gear calculator with my tire size, I went 110mph, if that helps.

I have the ECT converter sitting around. I'm waiting to get the speedometer converter from a fellow named "yellaboi" here on H-T to put them both in. They'll show up someday.

Like stated before, the speedometer correction converter is on it's way shortly, as well as the ECT converter. The speed sensors on the S2000's are countershaft-driven, much like the new ('05+) K-Series transmissions, instead of our old differential-driven VSS's. The converter steps up the signal to match the S2000's. The ECT gauge works on a 0-2v scale on the S2000's, where as the older ones work on a 0-5v scale. The ECT converter adjusts the signal going to the gauge from the ECU to scale it correctly on the cluster.
Everything else works fine. Tach, fuel gauge, all indicator lights. I even have a functioning low-fuel indicator now, even though my car never had one before.
Also, I'm sure yours sounds like it goes through the gears a bit quicker, seeing as your final drive is slightly more aggressive than my own 4.7, right?

Kool, actually if i could ever find a video cam, i'd record some rolls, its rainning today, first time i drove the car in the rain in about 4 months..needless to say, i must leave a light at 3rd or 4th if i do not want to spin all the way to 9k...
yes its aggressive..your car sounds TEH Same as mine..its pretty funny tho cause your's is a beastly car...team 1.8? chea..

Nice video, I was watching and was thinking- man i would rather hear the car then the music, and then you turned it off
Second gear sounds exactly like mine does on street tires, nasty !
