Car Randomly Dies
Hey, i just got the car running again after my TPS problem (94 Prelude SI 2.3L non-vtec)... http://<a href="https://honda-tech.c...2802
and now it will just die for no reason that i can see. It does it while i am accelerating, and i cant keep it running by giving it more throttle. It did this to me 3-4 times and i would throw it in neutral and start it right back up and go for just a little bit, then the final time it happened i wasnt able to just restart it.
Before when something like this happened i just got lucky and came across a fix, if i take the dist cap off and crank it over it will have a couple of LOUD back fires and then i put the dist cap back on and it will run perfectly. I assume it would also work if i just pull the plug to the coil since it seems to be the spark that is the only difference in if it does it or not.
anyone know any possible causes or a fix that is more permanent than what i am doing now? It is throwing no CEL codes and i just replaced the TPS and Knock sensors to get rid of the only CEL codes that it was throwing. Also just replaced the head, same kind of h23 head that was on it before, had a slight oil problem and ruined the other one, if that seems relevant i can give more info.
Also everything is timed correctly, checked it earlier with a timing light.
