you gotta be more specific than that.
the siR rear bumper has a small lip and is comparable to the 90-91 rear bumper which has a 'fake lip'. the 88-89 bumper is marginally different from the rest. it is flat on the bottom.
i'm searching now for pictures that i have posted in the past on this same subject. i found all of the photos on google images. so if i dont come back soon, i suggest checking there.

The jdm bumper is way lighter. There is no bumper support in it. If you get rear ended it will do major damage. Even at slow speeds. Hope no one rear ends me lol. If no one has the pics I'll take em when I get home

Well I forgot to take pics of the usdm bumper but here's a pic of the jdm one. There's no difference. I only bought the jdm one because I had credit at N1 and my old one(which was a 91 bumper) had some issues

the crx rear bumper and bumper support are now discontinued. i work at honda in parts. the only difference ive noticed is only between the usdm 88-89 and the jdm. otherwise to me the usdm 90-91 and the jdm look the same. i am currently looking for a rear bumper and reinforcement for my crx and am having zero luck. i want to stick with original factory honda parts so i might have to cave and just buy a jdm one. its about the same price as a usdm one anyways. lol.
thevtecnician... you said the jdm bumper doesnt use a reinforcement? then how is it held on? ive actually been wondering this. i want to know all the facts before i actually order one. your info would be greatly appreciated.

Everyone is forgetting the important difference between the usdm and jdm rear bumper and that is weight. The 90-91 usdm and jdm bumper covers are the same, however, the japanese bumper support is much lighter because they don't require a crash beam like the states did. I know for the Civic EF9 rear bumper it only weighed 11lbs with the support. The usdm crash beam weighs over 30lbs without the cover. Of course if you ever get into a low speed fender bender you are screwed

Correct! The front and rear jdm bumpers have next to nothing for protection, especially by today's standards. The jdm doors have no side impact beams either, they are light, but will not take a hit very well at all
Thanks for the great pics Zrickety, you beat me to it

thanks Deetz! the top pic is mine, but i can't take credit for the other. i saved it for reference, in case i decide to go lighter...
For CRX:
90-91 USDM = JDM EF8 rear bumper cover.
90-91 USDM rear bumper support is the strongest but prone to rust.
88-89 USDM rear bumper support is the lighter and doesn't rust as much.
JDM rear EF8 bumper support isn't anything more than a couple hangers to hold the cover in place.
Bumper brackets are different between USDM and JDM.
EDM cover is way different getting the long euro type plate, not sure about bumper support.
88-89 USDM bumper is different with the wider and somewhat less pleasing center impact strip.
No need to answer your question with a pic, just look at a 90-91 bumper cover.
