Slipper Clutch Question
Im running a RAM slipper clutch on my crx si tranny. I was wondering if anyone else is running a slipper clutch on their setup. I can not down shift to lower gears with out grinding the gear. Is this common with the slipper clutch because it is clamping at higher rpms? I am just lost on how the slipper setup effects the way I can down shift. For example if im doing 60mph and I shift down to third to speed up the gear fights to go in. It isn't the syncro because their all new. Just wondering if someone could school me on slipper clutch technology.

Because he must hate his clutch and want to destroy it with excessive amounts of heat.

But a slipper clutch on a bike lets you downshift. Hell it let's you downshift even better than your regular wet clutch. You don't have to worry w/ tire lockup and wheelspin as much when you downshift w/ a slipper clutch.

Yea I mean from a highway roll race. I don't attended to race it from a roll but did twice since the setup was together. The car is not a daily, its a 88 crx hf with a fully built zc on track tek 111 leaded gas, car made 400whp. I was just wondering if I needed to adjust the slipper fingers or is it the design of the slipper clutch that does not allow you to downshift. I was told as stated in the thread that slipper clutchs allow bikes to downshift better so I was kinda confused.
oh ok , i didn't know i thought it was a typo,
we don't "roll race" up here its from a dig or its nothing
bikes and cars use different type of cluches totally different

No I have not modify the housing so I can get to the fingers yet. The reason I have this clutch is because I got it off a member for a really good price and figured it would work great for the track. I just found it odd when I couldnt downshift when I tried to drive it on the street.
