You can hook a changer up to anything.

Universal FM modulated changer might be the only way to go since you've got a DX. I don't think DX's had cd changer ports on the rear of the deck, but I could be wrong...

Let me ask you this. Are there buttons on the deck that say "CD" or show the symbols for play, stop forward/reverse?

My brother has one, I'll ask him if he'll be down to sell it. PM me if you want to continue the conversation.

I do know for sure that 98 DX coupe or hatchbacks have stock radios that can accept a Honda or Acura CD changer. I don't think these changers are compatible across the boards, as far as I can tell they'll only work with Civics or Integras (circular CD changer port).

if you can find a old school alpine cd changer those will plug right in, not the ones that have the ai-net connection but the older ones had the same plug as the honda/acura oem decks have, you can find them on ebay for cheap, you will need to get an adapter to switch some wires, one of my co-workers(installer) said im not sure because this was like 3yrs ago but if you plug it in directly it will run i think mono but with the adapter it switches over to stereo i think, but the adapter is pretty cheap also.

edit: with the old alpines you control everything from you factory deck no fm modulator or external display needed, keeps it just like stock
