i would think so, as long as they are still in good working order. and just because they are on ebay doesn't change the fact that they are h&r springs.

 

got mine for $160 on ebay, and yes they will work with stock shocks, they may however cause your stock shocks to go out prematurely.

 

Was their any confusion because of all the ebay part bashing we do on here? ebay parts when said in a negative way on this place always refers to the chinese $9.99 coilovers and 19.95 exhausts. Things of that nature. Good, quality brand name parts are no different just because they are sold on ebay. As of yet i have not seen a name brand fake. At least not in the sense you do with fake Diesel jeans etc...

 

Do you remember all those fake tein springs being sold on ebay for like $120-130, now they are sold as "JDM Springs" for like $20

 

Oh i'm sure it happens, I listened to a press confrence a couple years ago from Greddy and HKS, basically they said they aggressivly went after anyone that misused their name aka. counterfit. I never did see the Teins but i'm not shocked.

lol... some guy at my campus bought springs w/ wired money but the other guy wasnt TOO much of an ******* so he sent 1 of the 4 springs

 

They don't sell them as "tein" anymore but go by "JDM Springs" or something like that. Still green and they look the same, just no more tein paint on the springs, and the box is just plain white now. The counterfeits looked pretty close to the real ones but Tein had a counterfeit vs authentic link on their site to show customers what to look out for.

 

a little off subject, but how do those "jdm" companies get away with selling "spoon" chips for like 24 bucks? my teg has one, only because i bought a used ecu and it was already installed. not to dissapointed with it either. high redline, and gets better mileage, and revs faster.

 

My guess, and this is only a guess is someone took whatever bin file works well with a specific combo, bought a bunk of 50 cent chips and burned the program.
