ok, i went and picked up a complete front dash from a salvage yard (converting from blue interior to grey). not noticing when i removed it that it was broken right at the center bezel where it screws into the dash. i went ahead and mounted the dash into my hatch and like a moron, i forgot to repair the broken area. so i went ahead and tried to use silicone and apply some pressure to glue the bezel to the dash. well, i thought it ok until today i checked on it and it slowly pryed away from the dash, so now i have a gap (again).

so what i plan on doing is making the repair form the backside (requires removing dash). first i would like to get rid of the mess i made with the silicone, anybody have any solutions to get rid of it?

 

what kind of silicone did you use? is it the clear sealant silicone?
