DC vs JDM ITR
I was in a brief conversation about this and no one has been able to give me good reasons or explanations. I was told that for the potential of my b16 build the it would be better to go with a original ITR header vs the DC sports 4-into-1. Can any one help convince me this is true. only reason I can gather is clearence issues, I know many people have problems with this.
that was my thought as well and being that they are thinner walls and ceramic coating I would think that would actually increase potential performance by releiving a few degrees off your EGTs

which would also make it more likely to crack as well....i ran a DC ceramic coated header long ago on my dual cam zc and definantly will never run one again

I've never had a problem with the DC headers I have owned. Did you wrap yours? That tends to hold in the moisture and leads to cracking over time from what I have seen.

I don't belive it's made out of ceramic, just coated.

The DC has larger primaries, a better collector, and no inner welds on the flange. It is quite similar in design to the Mugen 4-1. It will flow better and perform better than the JDM ITR 4-1, though not necessarily by a significant degree. Ground clearance on either header will not be terribly good if that's a main concern.
