I just recently removed the ABS in the 96 DC and right behind where the ABS motor use to be, is a nice 3.25" hole that I would like to route my charge pipe through,




does anybody have any pictures of how they routed their pipes behind the frame rail instead of under? Thx

 

If you can shift the civic radiator over towards the driver side, you can run a dual back door intercooler. You would just squeeze the piping past the radiator on the passenger side, it comes out super clean and not cutting of the bumper to clean the charge pipes.

 

Yeah, that would be a much better plan that using that hole. Using that hole would require a really tight bend.

 

That would be a great plan if my core was smaller than 24x10.5x3.5 I am also running a ramhorn so the Rad cannot go any further east than it is now. The Int. started its life as a Precision 750 and is pretty wide, got my friend to fab up some baller endtanks for it, the cold side endtank is going to be where the low beam is now due to the width of the core.

do you have a pic of this? sounds like an efficient way to route the piping for sure

any other companys that make one other then full race ? back door setup that is

 

Laskey Racing can make your Endtanks backdoor with a PWR Core and it will cost less than the Full race. Just lettin ya know

Yea, I finished the new endtanks on the intercooler, and the more I look at it, its not going to be worth it to run it though there. There is room, but I do not feel like re-creating a new fender bracket and all the extra work necessary to do it, I really like the idea of using that hole but it becomes a PITA if I have to remove that pipe, the way I have my endtank now makes it perfect for the 180 bend I have to clear inbetween the torque mount and tow hook. Either going to start the new piping this weekend or start welding in the cage.

 

did you make your own end tanks? or did you buy it like that?

I made them and my friend welded them, the Intercooler use to have cast tanks on it, it was a Precision 750.
