Looks good..start with advancing the intake first..just a little (if you have toda cogs)..
then go with the ex.side by advancing it. Every motor is diff, but most of them like a little more advance on the intake side (B's or C's)...You should see a big jump in the numbers.
Good numbers on the D.D.

Also where is vtec set at?

Thanks dude, for the comments. Yea a was pretty happy with the numbers for a DD.

The cams were advanced several times with the toda cogs but it seemed to like it best pulling higher power for longer at 0 degrees?

The vtec is set to come in at 5800 Rpm

What you thinkin...

Try bumping vtec up..6000 or higher. Did you make changes on one cam at a time?
Most of the time i have good luck when you degree them in..we had a H-C motor that just pick up 15+hp just by adv. the intake cam...With Toda's i would rather have the stronger mid range, which is what they are know for. The header could be hurting you also. i think the toda header belongs on a b16. that same set-up would make good power all the way to 10k..

How would bumping the vtec up help...out of interest. I never thought about this before.

Cams were adjusted one at a time, intake first advance then power runs, then exhaust and power runs. No improvements in any combination we tried??? I though this was strange.

AF's were perfect...well if you think 11.8-12.1 is perfect.

I would definatly prefer a stronger mid range. Would a larger throttle body help with this set up? Like I mentioned, intake and Tb were stock.

Also I thought the Toda header was meant to be killer. If this is notthe case then what in you opinion would suit this application?

Thanks for the comments so far. At the end of the day I'm happy anyway as this is my first home made build.

Moving cam gears should make a difference..if it doesn't somethings wrong..
A bigger TB should help, and i'd go with a VSTack at the end of that intake..
your numbers seem low...way low.. i would have thought this motor would have been 210+whp..if u would have told me this mouth to mouth i would have easily said.. 200+whp car..192ish is ..low..really low.

^^^ Interesting comments as most have been pretty impressed with this power. I myself like you was expecting 210 ish plus with this et up...

What areas could have left me with less power than expected?

You mean attach a velocity stack to the end of the aem pipe or the bumper directing air onto the filter? Just for the dyno or for good?

i'd try playing with the AF's a little bit too.

+ a different intake manifold[ :cough: edelbrock performer x :cough: ] should pick up a few ponies.

nice ride, btw

A friend of mine visits Japan fairly regularly. He picked it up for me when he was at the Toda factory. Looks great and seems pretty well made but not 100% sure on the performance yet. WOuld love to try it back to back with SMSP or RMF with my set up, see if its letting me down at all. Doubt it though, Toda make good headers...

Play with the AF's in what way. My tuner MASE'D said they were spot on. I think that guy has the experience to know??? I actually took it to him before christmas to get a retune. We saw hardly any imporovement. Something in the set up isnt quite working...somewhere theres somethink...

I would not mess with a tune, since Mase tuned it. I would get rid of that v2 intake and just get a 3" intake with velocity stack. You could possibly see 200whp.

^^^ What do you mean by this exactly? A 3'' intake. Who makes one? Velocity stack, show me where...

Thanks in advance, you guys in the US do things a little different sometimes. Thats why I wanted mase to tune my car. I know he's a good tuner at the end of the day. I dont blame his tune at all, I just think something in my set up could be letting it down?

First off Search 3'' intake, i had a few threads on here about one and consider getting a blox/BPi Vstack that right there will give you some power.. and as far as i know toda headers provide good numbers..i think they compare them to the hytech's around here or something close to that nature.. If your AFR's were dead on, i'd look at the
1) ignition maps
2) Gear settings again
3) Possible New manifold??

Somethings holding your car back we got mild b18c1's with 81.25 making 215+Whp with minor bolt ons.. maybe its your dyno..but i would expect nothing less then 200whp from this setup.

The numbers look pretty good especially when you consider this was a dynamics dyno. They are notorious for reading low.

I seriously cannot believe the amount of people knockin the Toda manifold. They have supported 230 whp, Jeff Evans praised it on that particular motor and how impressed he was with it. I would NOT reccommend getting rid of your header, I would direct my attention towards that "V2" intake and switch to a 3" short ram with a velocity stack.

Its a DYNO DYNAMIC they read really low.. this on a dyno jet 215-220 easy

I know every motor is diff...but should of seen better mid range power by moving the gears..on some of our old Honda Challenge motor that has to run stock intake tb and bottom end, the mid range and some peak power made big changes when played with the cam gears...A/F were also a little leaner..and higher vtec settings, with a smooth cross over where you could barely hear vtec...

But again still good numbers..do a tb and some more tweaking... put it on a dyno jet since most people on here love big numbers.
