i think the 2.5'' collector wont match up with the stock exhaust, i may be wrong, but if thats the case make sure he gets a gsr not ls cuz the gsr header is shorter, i say this cuz others say if its b-seires its the same and bolts up but on gsr the b- pipe is diff. but just make sure he gets a gsr header and if someone else knows if it will bolt up to his stock exhaust?
A few companies make 2.5" collector headers but think about this. If you need a 2.5" collector you better have a 2.5" high flow cat and a 2.5" cat back exhaust. The stock cat is made for a 2.25" collector and the stock cat back is 1.91", many aftermarket cat backs are 50-60mm. In short, if you really need a 2.5" cat back the motor it would be going on would be extremely healthy and making a serious amount of power.

Both true, i went w/ a 2.5" high flow magnaflow cat w/ a kteller 2.5" inner diameter cat back weld up pipe kit w/ a magnaflow muffler.
