Rear mount Twin turbo ZO6 drag radial build.....
Here's a few pics of a build nearing completion in the shop. Hoping to break some records in the near future. I have more updated pics; Ii just have to pull them off the camera! It's a 2001 Corvette Z06. The worlds fastest and quickest LSX on a drag radial with a best time of 7.76 @ 185.56. The car has gone 7.54 @ 187.89 on a 10.5" as well. It retains full factory frame rails, body panels, full glass (and as much as we tell him he doesnt need it...) power windows...
It had a single mounted 106mm turbo previously until the decision to make more power and go faster was made... and this is what was come up with.......
For more info on the car check out Corvettemajor.com
here's a vid of the car from the past...
7.549 @ 187.89

6' aluminum bends...

I believe bigtom used the wrong termonology and meant to say they're fabricating some pieces for that car. That corvette is/useto be a customer of Vette Doctors.

Very nice work but I see some very important things that are missing.
The inlet pipe for the compressor should be made from 1/8 thick stainless for safety reasons, this is in case the compressor wheel lets go. You don't want a compressor to let go and then be making laps inside the car with the driver. The other thing I see that is missing is the turbine housing shield and down pipe shield. Putting turbos inside the car has its advantages but it is very dangerous and must have safety shielding put in place to protest the driver or passenger. A turbo letting go is like a grenade going off in the car.
In the lab turbine wheels have ran all the way up the exhaust pipe on to the roof (3 stories) and across the top of the building. I can't imagine that happening inside the car.

..the pics do no justice. Up close and personal is another story. this car is nuts!
..this owner was upset at the the fact that is was only making 1400hp with the single 106mm and not running to full potential. This twin setup is gonna be wicked..can't wait to see it run.
