from what i've heard and this is from my friend who owns evasivemotorsports.com, bride rails are the way to go as they sit lower than others.
and yes, what you've heard about wedge is true in that they do sit high.

I went to speedwaremotorsports.com and called them up to have some made for my recaro sport sportlines. They sat kind of high but I noticed that i could relocate the hole on the front to lower them, there was plenty of room but the rear, at least on the sportlines, there was nothing I could do to really lower it due to the sportlines slider mounting holes for the bracket. There just wouldn't be any clearance to put a bolt in to mount the bracket to the floor. I don't think they make them that high on purpose, it's just something they end up having to do to be able to mount the bracket to the preludes floor.
When I sat in the SRDs in my friends 5th gen, I couldn't get over how they pinched my legs. I have a 38" waist though. In my friends 4th gen, the Torinos had my head against the roof, but I am 6'6".
