EK power window conversion trouble need help from Monicle and others
monicle I am using your procedures to DIY the power window conversion and it is a really big help. i am currently on the floor harness stage, and having problem with the connectors in th efuse box. I remember removing a blue connector and a grreen connector only in the fuse box but the floor harness now have 1 blue, 2 green,1white connector? just wan tto ask are they meant on something or just let them be loose.also my car is a 99DX and encounter that the 2 rear connector for the floor harness doesnt match on my exisitng (1 big connector only) do i need to re-wire them using th old one? if yes I believe this goes also to the connector mounted on the body near the fuse box.
every single connector that connects to the fuse box is original and will only plug into one position on the fuse box. you cant screw it up. the green connectors are for your power options ie windows, mirrors and locks, the white connector is for the power mirror switch, the blue connector has a bunch of various connections and uses.
if the connectors arent matching up then you are using a 96-98 floor harness. this means you will need to replace and repin the front and rear main clips on your 96-98 (new) floor harness with the one you just took out of your car (99dx). if you dont connect these main clips your car will not start because the fuel pump will not be connected to your main relay.

correct . i change my wire to a 99 si and it but the white connector, i cannot connect i have no idea really where it will go. i left it hanging since the 99 si have 2 green and one blue.
Hey, Monicle I was wondering if the floor harness for the window conversion is really needed? because I have heard that you can do the conversion without the floor harness. Would it affect any electrical problem if I took the easier option instead.

I just a quick question about this conversion, I've searched but just want to make sure its clear. I have a 98 EK, it came with 99-00 Si door panels with the harnesses and switches for p/w and p/d, but for w/e reason they cut them after running them into the car. If I swap them out do I need to stick with door harness from a 99-00, and what about the floor harness, what year should it be from? Sorry to jump in, just needed some help.
I also used your guide for my install. I plugged in everything to the fuse block and I have no power to anything. mirriors, windows, and locks dead on both doors. Any ideas? do i need to change out the fuse block? I have a 96 cx hatch and used a 96 ex coupe floor harness. Any help would be great.
then you either have no ground, or you havent put in any fuses. if everything isnt working id say check the drivers door ground.
