CRVTEC
I am attempting my 2nd engine build and just wanted to get some feedback, on the setup I am aiming for. If you can tell me what you think from your own experience with a similar setup that would be great. Also if you see somthing I can change along the same price as the set-up you see please fell free to let me know. The engine is going into a 90 Civic hatch, that is a race only car for circle track 3/8 mile maybe 150 miles a year 10 mins at a time, no street driving. It runs Sunoco 110 race fuel.
BLOCK -
I have a B20 block I would like to put RS Machine pistons in it, block guard, and ACL race bearings. GSR water and oil pump. It will have ARP rod bolts. running OBD 1 from my old Integra with a P28 Ecu from Ebay I already have everything but the pistons. rods and crank stock.
HEAD -
I would like to go with a GSR head for the small boost it gives in compression, over the B16 head. I am looking for max compression without worrying about valve clearance. I would like to keep the head stock. to keep costs down for now. but if someone has a idea on this feel free to share.
BOLT ONS -
I have a cheap ebay 4-2-1 header, 94 integra intake, 10 pound steel flywheel, CAI
I have done alot of reading and this seems to me like a reasonible set-up. But since I am somewhat new to engine building I would like some more experienced opinions. I am also interested in finding out what accesories I should be looking into for tuning the motor once it is done, I have not come across anyone or any shop that tunes cars in my area 13212.
Thanks, Chad
