Default Spun Rod Bearing

I just picked up a 93 B18a1 block for my swap. The guy I got it off of said there was a slight knock so he pulled the motor. I opened it and found that there was a spun rod bearing on cylender #3 . The rod itself is still good but the crack has a slight amout of scratches on it. It doesn't look to bad but they are there. Would it damnage the crank aka. bend it? Is this something that I can just slap some new bearings on and be done with it. Or do I need to take it to a machine shop and get it micro-polished? When I go to get new bearing where do I get them besides Honda/Acura? And how do I know which color ones to get?

I'd still have a machine shop look at it, otherwise it'll just eat up your bearings even if its minor. Just think your motor spinning 1000-8000rpm with even the slightest scratch it'll do some damage. In order to know what bearings you need you have to plastigauge your crank. http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...s.php
Color will depend on the sizing you need.
ACL, King and others have bearings too but you can pick and choose what size bearing you need. Have fun.
