i just swapped a d16z6 into my cx hatch. i didnt want to mess with wiring up the 4 wire until i figured out exactly what i need to do. will having a 1 wire o2 sensor on this motor affect the performance or daily driving aspect?

well, in order to get vtec working you will need a P28, so you will have to have the working 4 wire o2 or you will get a code 41 and NO vtec.

so to answer your question, yes you need to wire it up first.
