E.K steering wheel

Default E.K steering wheel

Trying to help a friend out with takeing old steering wheel off his EK.I have the face of the wheel off and the 19mm nut off.What else is there to take off. Thanks.

Brace your feet on the floor and press on the steering wheel underside with your knees. Then take a mallet and a punch (or a fat philips's head screwdriver). Put the point of the punch on the hole in the steering column (where the nut was). Press the steering wheel with your knees and start pounding the punch with the mallet, and it'll jar the wheel loose.

I just used two hands at opposite ends of the wheel. With the nut on (very important), give a couple of strong, quick jerks. The wheel will pop off.

you could use a pulley/steering wheel removal tool check out any parts store

I just use my hands banging on the left & right sides of the wheel where you hold it, left & right, left & right. This way will shake the wheel loose.
