Completely random...no first or second gear
I've been driving my car for about 5 days with z6 trans. I put mobil1 10w-30 in when I first drove it and today I replaced that with oem honda mtf. I havent beat on it AT ALL until tonight.
I had it in second, brought it up to 6k, tried to bang third and no go it grinded REALLY bad. I put into 5th and kept driving and everything was normal. I came to a red light, downshifted into 4th, then 3rd, then 2nd before coming to a stop. It turned green and i went through each gear like i would any other day of the week. I came to a another red light and repeated this. After this light I went around a jughandle and had it in 2nd, when i came out of the turn and went to put it on 3rd it wouldnt come out of second. I drove about a half mile in second before pulling into a parking lot and beating the **** out of my shifter to get it out of 2nd. While in 2nd gear it made no wierd noises or anything at all.
Once out of 2nd, i could only get it into 3rd 4th and fifth, which made for an interesting 20 mile ride home. I managed to get it into 2nd about 3 miles from my house and it would not come out. I let the car sit for a few minutes when I got home and tried it again and failed.
Sooo what expletive happened

did you lost any pressure in the clutch check the master cyn see if its leaking, look for any breaks in the line, if not the check if your fork moves, it sounds like a fork or pressure plate issue get back to us on the leak in the lines
wow that sucks, if memory serves me i do believe that honda transmission synchros are notorious for being rather crappy and grindy, but 1st and reverse are non synchroed gears i believe and it sounds like a fork issue.
I had this same kind of thing happen in a DA I used to have, only it happened in the reverse gear. Mine made noise though while in reverse, a grinding noise. After about 3 months of driving it like this, it finally got stuck in reverse and I had to beat the crap out of it to get it out. I parked it, and replaced the tranny. Opened the tranny up, and the reverse gear was all kind of shredded, missing teeth, etc. Wasnt good. Id assume that this might be the begining stage of the same kind of problem, but then again I could be wrong. If you are going to pull your tranny out, Id open the casing and check out the gears.
Honda's are real picky about what kind of fluids are ran threw them.
With what your saying it sounds to me like 1 of 2 things
1 shift fork - real easy to bend in the D-series
2 syncros - Was not happy with you adding 10w-30 ( i know lots have done this) and decided to fight back lol.
Either way there is not going to be some simple fix for this. My advice to you is get cracking on them tranny bolts.

i drained the honda fluid and it was filled with glitter. i replaced it with some valvoline high mileage 10w-40 and its felt a little better. i took it fr a 5 minute drive and it locked up. i was rolling into a parking spot with it in first and the clutch disengaged and the car just stopped. it hit so hard the it rebounded and rolled backwards. i drove it home and i noticed that i cant put it in first if im not stopped or it will grind so i guess its shot.
yea the dseries trannys dont really like being put into 1st gear if your rolling along to a stop theyll grind quite a bit, sometimes from what ive notcied though, its also a matter of the clutch slave cylinder, i had a 4dr eg civic and unless the clutch pedal was pretty much being pushed through the floor boards it really didnt like 2nd gear in high rpms racing situations or 1st gear slowly rolling to a stop, this was all fixed after i replaced the clutch slave and it was noise free and smooth after that.
