Help: Which timing belt for D16y7 block with D16z6 Head? Already Searched & FAQ

As the topic states, can I use my D16y7 timing belt on my mini me with D16z6 head? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can. I done it before without any problems. I was going to use the z6 timing belt but the y7 timing belt was in better condition so I used it. You'll be fine with the y7 timing belt.

which cam gear can i use for the d16z6 head on my d16y7 block? can i use my y7?? thanks again!

For cam gear just run the cam gear that came with the head. I just used my whole z6 head. Only time you'll want to use the y7/y8 cam gear on a z6 is if you are doing a 1.5L mini-me.
