I have read that with octane booster the highest you can achieve is very close if not similar to the highest pump octane you can purchase at your local amaco or exxon. Basically the only gains out of octane booster is using it with 87 grade or regular unleaded gas. Thats what I read and I think it was in superstreet, don't know what issue. well, again correct me if i'm wrong but I don't think there is actually a way to tell if it has boosted your octane... another communist gimic.

do you really know what a higher octane means??? cause you really need to understand what a higher octane does, from my understanding if you are running a turbo, then you need to run a higher octane. the reason is the higher the octane the higher the compression needed to detonate the fuel. it you just have a sohc no turbo then really you are wasting your money. and in some cases running a lower octane can add a couple of hp. you need to find out your compression rating and they can tell you whether or not your car really benifits from a higher octane.

used it , no big difference's but if you use it to much it turns your plugs brown
so now i rather go to a gas station that provides with 100 octane (there rare to find) much better .....

wtf....are you tryin to prech to me? if you read my post a lil bit closer you would find out that i mentioned that i am runnin nitrous. this being a type of FI application you need a higher octane fuel to run effeciently.

my plugs are already brown from one bottle. this is why i asked the question. it was a new set of plugs too. since none of us (i think) can afford to fill up our tanks every two weeks or whenever you do, can you mix the race fuel and watever octane fuel you run to create a higher octane? wat im saying is for instance me, i can only get 91 at the pump. if i mix a certian amount of race fuel to my tank will the octane increase?

i just wanna keep from detonating.....

IMO is not worth it , friend of mine had to advance the timing and also higher octane to run his 75 shot of nitrous on a gsr motor . but then he decided to go all motor better ...

Not needed, and DO NOT use the top of the line N.O.S. booster. It contains nitrometh, which is NOT good in a juice motor.

well, it is simple, if you detonate you loose your motor, what i do is delay the timing a couple of degrees. When I am runing the juice I always put premium in the tank. Yes if you mix fuels it does change the octane But if you put 3 gals of 93 octane over 3 gals of 87 octane I am not sure if you will get enough to stop your detonation. Run a cooler plug and it will help!

Have you tried running a mixture of tolulene and high test? There was a post on here a couple of months back about doing that, but I'm too lazy to search for it. I will validate that it really does work (Even a friend of mine who's a Physics Grad. student vouches for the science behind the theory). We get it by the drum @ work so it's super cheap 4 me, but to buy it retail it's about $3-$5 a gallon which is the only real drawback.

Is it my bad assumption that race gas even at city pump's is leaded? AKA o2 killers? Secondly around here at the few spots you can find it you can only fill up containers with it or trailered cars you by law can't put it into a car that will be driving on the road.
